lactic acid

Lactate dehydrogenase converts lactate to pyruvate and NAD and NADH. The test kit of lactate is based on the reduction of INT in terazolium NADH-coupled enzymatic reaction salt to formazan which exhibits an absorption maximum at 490 nm. The intensity of the absorption is proportional to the concentration of lactate. A set of rules, the lactate tests may be the lactate concentration in the samples (plasma, half, or otherwise) which is measured in a quantitative manner. The kit can be used for lactate in serum, plasma and urine to measure directly without TCA or PCA treatment. The kit is stable until the expiration date on the storage and handling. The product is only for research

Lactic acid, also known as milk acid, is a chemical compound that plays a role in several biochemical processes, and was first isolated in 1780 by Swedish chemist Carl Wilhelm Scheele. Lactic acid is a carboxylic acid having the chemical formula C3H6O3. Having a hydroxyl group in addition to the carboxyl group, which makes an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA).

In solution may lose proton of the acid group, allowing the lactate ion (to be specific, by the anion is a negatively charged electron), CH3CH (OH) COO-. Compared with acetic acid, the pKa a smaller unit, so that the lactic acid loses protons ten times as easy as acetic acid does. This acidity is due to intramolecular hydrogen bond between the α-hydroxyl group and carboxylate, and are therefore less able to maintain its tight proton
